Aging (thermal) furnaces are used to harden aluminum profiles manufactured in extrusion plants.
The temperature of the aging furnace is between 160-225 °C in accordance with the process. Aging furnaces do not have a standard capacity, they are designed and manufactured according to the capacities of the customers and the lengths of the profiles they produce. There are chain-based, roll-based, hot or cold trolley types according to the material transfer method.
In order to prevent the profiles to be heat treated with thermal shock, indirect heating is done with the thermoblock applied inside the furnace.
There are varieties that work with natural gas, LPG and fuel-oil, depending on the type of heating. The air circulation inside the furnace can optionally be from the doors to the middle suction, from one door to the other door to the suction or variable direction. Sealed type doors, which are supported by a door pressure system and a special lock system for security, are used.
